Podcasts On the first Monday of the month, Pat Healy hosts the Metro Monthly Music Podcast, a dose of music from bands to listen out for, words of wisdom from bands you already know and a number of offbeat segments that challenge guests and listeners to reconsider their notions of music history. Beginning in April of 2009, Healy has welcomed such diverse talents as Ozzy Osbourne, Drake, Howard Zinn, Drew Barrymore and Odd Future onto the MMMPod. All episodes are written, produced and hosted by Pat Healy. And they're all available on iTunes, by clicking here.

Listen below to a three-minute aircheck.

The June 2012 MMMPod features Roger Taylor of Queen talking about the "We Will Rock You" beat and the Queen Extravaganza, Ice-T talking about his new movie, The Walkmen talking about chilling out, Santigold talking about getting psyched up and Ian Astbury of the Cult admitting freely that his band ripped off AC/DC, but he kinda blames it on Rick Rubin.

The May 2012 MMMPod features John Irving, Ira Glass, Regina Spektor, M. Ward, Mike Doughty and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Plus, you'll get to find out once and for all, if Sting does it in the shower!

The April 2012 MMMPod celebrates the future in the unique breakout discoveries of SXSW (Youth Lagoon, Cloud Nothings etc.) and the past in a look back at the first years of the Metro Monthly Music Podcast. Listeners also learn who makes Daryl Hall's dreams come true and who is that "Somebody That I Used to Know" to Gotye.
